Suranne Jones

Sarah Anne Jones, better called Suranne Jones, is an actress and producer who hails from England. The actress has earned fame her role as Ruth Slater in the miniseries "Unforgiven," as Detective Rachel Bailey in the police procedural drama "Scott & Bailey", and the role of GP Gemma Foster in the medical comedy 'Doctor Foster'. Jones, who is originally of Chadderton situated in Greater Manchester, joined Oldham Theatre Workshop in which she earned the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. in a stage production of Wait Until Dark, she performed the role of Gloria as a child at age eight. The first time she appeared on screen in 1997 when she played the character of a show called on "Coronation Street". In 2000, she returned to play Karen McDonald. The years that followed her departure from ITV's soap opera, she appeared as a variety of roles in TV shows such as 'Vincent", 'Strictly Confessional" as well as Harley Street.
